Hi all, my 7 month old is doing brilliantly with self feeding and has a varied diet already. This week tho she has been really constipated and woke up in the early hours inconsolable :-( Any suggestions to stop this happening?

Don't feed bananas, rice, apples or toast until their normal again.

Try giving diluted prune juice or orange juice. That worked wonders for my little girl.

I found with both my kids, starting solids really changed their bowels for a while. They didn't poo for ages. I thought they were constipated but poo came in time, lots of it, but it was soft, not hard pebbles like constipated poo is. Prunes and kiwi fruit worked wonders, but if I was patient I wouldn't have needed them.
