How to do meat?

Postby Wig2415 » 28 Sep 2015, 03:00

Hi, I'm just wondering how to go about giving meat to my LO? I don't know what cuts to go for... Thicknesses, amount of fat, whether they're marbled etc.
What do you do for meat?

Also, I often can't give her the meat part of our dinner because of flavouring (eg. Burritos spices) which I think we should work our way up to. How do you manage 'sharing' the same meats with your bub from your meals? LO is 6 months old.

Thank you so much! I really need the advice :)

And breathe :) It's not that complicated. Give finger-sized pieces of whatever you're having, steak, chicken, and she can suck the juices out. For ground meats, just try to leave some big clumps. You can always pull a few pieces out and set them aside before you add seasoning if it's too spicy for your LO to handle. I don't think you need to sweat the amount of marbling!
