my paediatrician suggested giving cereals in the evening...

Hello Everyone,

Very new to BLW, we've been doing it for the last 2 weeks. So far going very well I think, my son (6 months and half old) showing more interest and excitement about the food etc, we have loads of fun with BLW but today went to our doctor for a 6 months check up and he suggested to do mix of purees and BLW (which after reading BLW book I know it is not the way to go so I can ignore this) but then he suggested to feed baby cereal... anyone else out there who gives the baby cereal/ porridge before going to bed? I am bottle feeding and he seems pretty happy to have just a bottle before to sleep.

Cheers for your answers

Wouldn't bother. I just smiled and nodded when my dr asked if my babies were on whatever stage was next in the puree regime.

All doctors have to follow a type of guideline of what a baby eats and at what age etc.

Blw does not conform to that. As long as he's taking the milk happily ignore him.

I have to do a mix =(. Connor wont drink his milk but cant feed himself either

I found never going to the checks an easy way of dealing with that one!

Slightly horrified by my huge number of posts.
