Mini B is 5.5 months and we're planning to start BLW in a couple of weeks. He already sits in his highchair with us when we eat during the day and has a plastic spoon, cup and sippy cup to play with. I was reading another thread about offering water with food, which we plan to do, and just wanted to check that those of you who gave water from 6 months just gave normal tap water (assuming you're somewhere where the tap water's fine to drink)?
It seems like a silly question now I ask, but our Early Childhood Health Centre showed the BLW DVD when talking about weaning (which I was pleased about, as not many people that I've spoken to here (Sydney) seem to have heard of it), but when the film showed someone filling sippy cup from the tap, the nurse said that we should actually use cooled boiled water instead, which seems like a lot of extra faff. And if you did boil your LO's water at first, what age did you stop? Thanks!
