Uncensored Facebook (August)

Whatever you like, really, knock yourself out... I'm not the boss of you.

There's that, but also the safeguards that have been put in place since everyone except the mods got spam pms.

You first few posts need to be approved by a mod at the moment, and I suspect the time-lag involved with that is also putting people off. Not so much lately, but there have been a few occasions where I've been able to log in and see all the mod stuff, but I haven't been able to approve anything. So the posts have festered, invisible to all but the mods, for even longer.

I haven't had problems logging on but... I know loads of you have so the forum is quiet so I've chosen not to bother posting stuff I've wanted to. I approve posts when I'm on but I expect I'm on less for reasons stated.

Today should be my wedding anniversary.

Bit of a weird one really & I don't particularly feel upset but it's still just *there*.

I know from posts in the Super Secret Facebook Group that Jem and Aitch have both been working on the problem(s). There was a suggestion made by an oldie that we just move our community there and abscond from this URL. Personally, I don't know how I feel about that. I'm not a huge fan of Facebook, and I often come here to chat pq I don't want to deal with the information overload that is Facebook. I resisted it for years, and I know some of you still aren't on there. I wouldn't want people to feel like they have to be on Facebook to continue to be part of our community.

And so you should, qbm - I dreamt the other day that you posted on here completely laying into me, criticising me for saying I receive £20k in benefits. Absolutely none of my dream had any basis in reality, other than the forum and your name, but I woke up most indignant! How very dare you have a go at me *in my dreams* about a post I didn't make about benefits I don't receive! Still, I think I mostly dreamt about soy sauce last night, so you know, I'm not reading too much into any of it :-D

:scream I can only apologise for my terrible behaviour in your dream...!

I once had a really, really dodgy dream about a very good friend who I worked with at the time and I couldn't look or speak to him the next day despite knowing *nothing* had actually happened.

I don't remember the dream, but I once woke up absolutely convinced I'd cheated on DH (then boyfriend) with my flat mate. The only thing that stopped me confessing was when I worked pu I couldn't possibly have as I hadn't felt like that the day before and we were on holidays in Cornwall at the time!

i wouldn't want to post in the FB group either. Obviously a lot of people here know who I am in real life and I'm comfortable with that, but there are a lot of people in the fb group that I don't know and I wouldn't want to get rid of that layer of anonymity.

Yeah, I'm the same. I like the anonymity, even though I know most of you on Facebook and know your real names and faces.
I don't know if many of the oldies who are in the Facebook group even read the posts anymore. Occasionally one of them will reply to a comment but it's mostly the same people who post here posting on there.

I didn't realize this was an issue, so I've started checking the "Notify poster of approval" box when I approve a post. Not sure what the rest of the mods have been doing, I daresay they're all more foresight full than I am, but hopefully doing this helps a little...

Noooo... My period has decided to make a surprise return today. :( A is 15 months old so I guess I should be grateful it stayed away this long, but with L it didn't come back until 18 months. I was kind of counting on the fact that she still nurses in the night and I'm still constantly exhausted to keep it at bay a while longer. Darn.
