Masonry Bees - advice anyone??

Postby UnhappyRightFoot » 06 Jun 2016, 08:40

We've seem to have a load of masonry bees move into our brickwork over the weekend. I've read how they are "solitary" (bollocks - judging by the numbers) and "don't sting" although there are many saying that they do, according to the interweb.

I can't seem to find anyone to deal with them. Beekeepers won't and neither will council pest controllers. The main problem is (aside from me hating flying insect type things) is that their nest is right next to the kitchen window and about 2 feel about the girls bedroom windows and about 6 feet from the front door. So we can't have the windows open or leave the door open - ALL SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!! (we're quite secluded so we usually leave the door open all the time when the weather is warm).

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're eating the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
