Squeee, good luck StJ.

And grr to HFs MIL. When I got my first tattoo someone asked what John would think and I said I didn't know cos I hadn't asked him and they thought that was bad. He'd never dream of telling me I couldn't do something, he'd tell me he wouldn't dare lol

Today is a good day to end a good week - dropped my mum home earlier after her final chemo session (just need the all-clear [for now, until it reappears] from her consultant in a few weeks' time), and my Dad got his all-clear from prostate cancer on Tuesday, plus he's recovering nicely from the operation to remove a skin cancer. Life is good :D

Wonderful news, really pleased.

Sorry, I'm a bit late coming back to this. I honestly can't remember, but yes, maybe about a week of the nurse coming to me daily to repack it. I hope your pain is lessening now. Are you managing to feed ok? Mine didn't hurt at all to feed, I just needed help to pick A up to feed for a few days I think. I was sooooo lucky that my sister just happened to be visiting me from Australia (I was in Scotland at the time). She was so much more helpful than DP would have been ;).

And I hope you have some chocolate for your PMT. I am about to finish AF but have felt grumpy and irritable all day and clearly don't have the excuse of PMT.

I know!! "allowed" WTF????????????????????

Yes, too much chocolate! It has slowed me down!!

I don't know what's going on with my youngest child but - to quote my mother's comment yesterday: he's got the devil in him. Throwing things, hitting, refusing to cooperate with anything, deliberately hurting his brother.

I don't know if he's ill or what. He's currently refusing to have his nappy on which means we can't leave the house. I can't figure out if I should carry on negotiating with him in the hope we can all go out or if I should give in and accept a morning in the house.

I'm trying to help monkeyboy understand that his brother is feeling sad about something and that's why he's expressing himself so negatively and he needs our patience but my patience is running out!! And it's not even 11.00 yet. Arrrrrrgh.

StJ needs DH's family to please stop buying her things. I understand, you guys express love through gifts, but I'm already really stressed by all the necessary baby things I haven't found a place for that are just scattered around my house. Buying tutus and snow globes is very kind but sort of making me a little teary just thinking about it (I mean, I know that's post-birth hormones talking, but still...)

Also like heck am I putting my child in a tutu unless she's actually enrolled in dance lessons, and they don't offer those to 0-3mo babies, so...

Oh no STJ, that does sound stressful! Maybe you can give the tutu to a circus dog? I'm not sure what a newborn does with a tutu either.

Mine would have an "accidental" nappy explosion all over it very quickly. There's no way you'll get all the poo out of the netting, I'm afraid it'll just have to go in the bin.
