Does it make me a mean wife that I've turned down dh's request for sex on his birthday? I'm just so $&#@&! tired...

Write him a promise slip to be redeemed at a later date when you are less tired?! I'm sure he'll understand as surely he's being affected by the night wakings too, or do you tend to shield him from them?

Surely it would be a bit tricky with a baby in your arms anyway?!

Lol yp! She was asleep in her crib when he asked, but there's no guarantee she wouldn't just wake up and interrupt us.

Yes he understands CT. He's not as tired as I am of course, but the wakings do affect him and he knows how exhausted I am. I just feel bad because I basically turn him down any time he suggests anything and we're hardly ever intimate anymore.

Force yourself to offer him a quickie. You can just lie there and you will enjoy it once you get going!

Argh, I'm having the week of misery. I'm so hugely pregnant I think my pelvic bones are about to explode, we've had two separate plumbing issues (drains blocked, no water Sunday, dealt with Monday-- Tuesday night now have a leaking pump and some kind of issue in our well, hope to have dealt with by tomorrow), my hairdresser left my salon so I have to find someone new before the baby comes, and both my mother and my mother in law are out of town so if the baby does decide to arrive in the midst of all these inopportune circumstances, I'll have to patch together a network of friends to watch the boys instead of just calling one of our mothers to come pick them up for however long we're at the hospital.

Bleah. I need cuddles. I need my mom.

I'm with you Oriel!

How rude of both grandmas to go out of town at once STJ! I hope your water issues get sorted. Sorry I can't help with hairdresser recommendations.

I am feeling very sorry for myself as I have had a breast abcess for a week now and double oral antibiotics have done precisely nothing. When DH gets home from work I have to go to A&E and have it drained (vom) and have IV antibiotics (waaaaahh).

Did smile to myself though at the locum GP I just saw who spent several minutes explaining, loudly and patronisingly, that antibiotics take 48 hours to start working. When I could get a word in I said that actually it had been a week, and he took one look at it and said 'hmm, well yes, that needs IV antibiotics today so you need to get yourself off to A&E' :mona

Hope things are OK p_h and stj.

I just need to yell "told you so" at MrC. We had an amazing holiday but it was really busy and the kids were exhausted but got up early today due to it being too light. MrC insisted we went to the zoo when I was trying to point out that a quiet day at home would be better.

Funnily enough the puppy is having a very rare exhaustion melt.down at him right now and little Croc had one earlier.

Ahem. Told you so, MrC. I'm not trying to stop the fun, I'm trying to be sensible.

Oh! I have conjunctivitis *again*. It's only been a couple of weeks since I had it in both eyes. It's just the one eye so far but it has nipped all bloody day and is bright, bright red.
