Is that an acronym for a certain book that has been narrated by Samuel L Jackson? Because if yes, let me join you:

GTFTS!!!!!!

Today bedtime took 2.5 hours, one parent per kid the whole time. It's just been one of those weeks.
I love my kiddos! Two April girls (2011 and 2013) and a May boy (2016). I guess we have spring babies in this family.

I wish I'd been able to sleep last night. The puppy was fine but I was awake all night. Maybe I should lend myself out, might as well look after awake kids if I can't sleep. Even managed to listen to the hypno birthing cd twice all the way through!! Didn't think that was possible.

Mamapup I remember well that feeling from the end of my last pregnancy, I lay in the dark on the sofa listening to my hypnobirthing CD over and over, but couldn't GTFTS for love nor money. Plus I had restless arms which were an absolute bastard.

We were up from half 3 til half 5, then one of the cats escaped (they're confined to downstairs usually) and woke us all up howling outside the bedroom door at some godforsaken hour.

Just got L finally settled for his nap an hour and twenty minutes later than usual after several episodes of nursing, bringing him to the crib, having him cry in crib, bringing him back out, snuggling and nursing again, bringing back to crib, etc. etc. Poor exhausted thing finally fell asleep nursing and I was able to put him down without waking him. (Poor exhausted me finally gets to sit down with a cup of tea before getting started on the actual productive things I need to do while he sleeps.)

He didn't sleep well last night, I think due to teething, and then slept in this morning so obviously sleeping in has thrown off our schedule for the day. Now I don't know when to expect him to wake up, and I'm also crossing my fingers that all this doesn't have negative effects on tonight's bedtime!

Bed time here took 4.5 hours tonight. No that is not a typo, 4.5hrs! She fell asleep three times but woke up again. Currently on my lap asleep and I have to transfer her to her cot. I'm not liking my chances, third times a charm? To top it all off, the baby has been screaming at me for most of hat time too. Fun times!

We had a horrendous night too. Puppy woke at 1, mr.c thought it was 6 so brought him in to bed then realised his mistake so took him back. Two errors that resulted in my sitting with the puppy screaming and screaming for daddy because now we are back to him thinking (idiot) daddy is a soft touch in the middle of the night. So I was awake pretty much between 1-5. Thanks idiot mr.c . At least I got an apology for his rookie error.

He agrees he's on puppy duty at night but so often doesn't move quickly enough or leaves it just long enough to ensure I'm wound up enough to do it myself. So annoying because I know my methods work well but I'm not meant to be on duty any more.

So now the puppy is asleep in the day, which doesn't bode well for tonight either. Yay.

I have been up since 3.15. My house is full of sleeping males - heap of cat and DH on the sofa, and child in our bed. I cannot sleep because child is teething, therefore liable to wake up crying for me at unexpected intervals. I cannot sit in the sunny sitting room because DH is snoring too loudly and I may strangle him out of sheer resentment. I have raging pmt. Life is unfair. Gah, self-pity-central here!

GTFTS me! Everyone else is asleep(ish). Squeak is coughing a lot, and DP is not long back from resettling her. Even more reason why I should be sleeping now, as it's inevitable she'll wake again at some point. But no. Insomnia hits again. I'm exhausted, I'm yawning, I'm aching all over buy I just can't sleep. I'm not even particularly thinking about anything or stressing anything. I just cannot GTFTS!

GTFTS and stop playing with my hair. Touched out doesn't begin to describe it.

Although it is marginally better than the ear splitting, inconsolable screaming.
