You should so make your own! I wish I had, but listened too much to my mothers' mistrust of my abilities to do so. Think of how amazing Robyn's was though, how personal and lovely. Vogue usually has some nice vintage style wedding dress patterns too .

Both of those dresses are so beautiful and sound perfect for the amazing, chilled barefoot wedding you're describing. If you've got the skills to make yourself something like that I think it would be even more fab!

OK, so if I were to make the colette one, what fabric should I use (as in type, not shade)? Love the look of the yellow fabric used in the images but not sure what it they have used... Their suggested fabrics are cotton, linen, silk twill, crepe or wool. I'm not into taffeta or owt like that that would be crinkly and too structured, would like something soft and floaty that drapes nicely, but not a complete arse to sew. Maybe a voile? Or a georgette? I've not much experience of sewing with either, but my experience of sewing with silk was murder so would like to avoid a repeat of that.

Also, all one colour, or contrast sash? Would go for a few shades off white anyway, an ivory or bone colour, was thinking maybe the underskirt could be in a salmony or peachy colour, but would it be nice to do the sash in the same contrast fabric or stick with the outer being all one colour?

Also, am I insane? I have No. Time.

Agree with Clairee about that Etsy seller - not necessarily anything wrong, but it would give me more confidence if there were some reviews. I can see why you like the dress though!
