Big hugs PM. I get worried taking the bus with my 2. It doesn't bear thinking about the what ifs.

Congrats Camper :D

PM - hope the Nanny is okay, and how lucky they all were

Woodsies....would like to go to her GP, tell him I'm feeling completely overwhelmed and trying to be everything to everyone and not coping well at all and ask for a few weeks off work. But, I work for my husband and it's just not possible. I am exhausted and stressed and I need a break, but it's never going to happen. More coffee please.

{{{{{{{{woodsies}}}}}} farming is 'life'. Sometimes its great, sometimes its utterly suffocating because it isn't a job, it is, as they say, a way of life.

((((Woodsies)))) I hope you can manage to get a little time to yourself soon, somehow :) xxxx

DIM.. can hardly believe it, but Isaac has just settled himself to sleep :o :o amazing. I think he's probably properly done that three or four times in the last few months - usually he needs lots of cuddles, milk, patting and shhhh-ing, and even then it can sometimes take thirty minutes (or more!) for him to actually go to sleep. Wow. Maybe this might be the start of something new? <hopeful>

I am totally fed up of my family feeling ill. After the horrendous flu, we still haven't shaken off the chesty coughs, and now it seems to be stepping back up a gear again...and this time, the kids are coughing too! And with a background of constant nausea for me (which means too much coughing leads to badness), and a head full of fuzz, NOTHING IS GETTING DONE. No one is getting any sleep, we're all eating whatever crap we can get our hands on quick enough (which are both making the illness worse I'm sure) and are grumpy/snapping at each other.

Enough already.

(& yay DIM & Isaac!!)

Get some oranges Allie, then the family can continue to eat easy fixes and illnesses will go away. ((((())))) I hope it all improves soon.

Nori is sat with a UCAS application open. Need to phone my old school to ask if a teacher can write me a reference, not knowing if he even remembers me. Must do it within the next hour. Shitting self. I left school nearly 10 years ago- I'm not sure that they'll even want a reference from that long ago :(.

Hmm, have reassessed and decided to phone my boss instead and ask her- since that's much more recent and still very relevant. So now I'm trying to figure out what to say to her, if she's even there. I don't know why I'm freaking out. I'm doing this as a fall-back fall-back plan, so really it doesn't matter. But I've never applied to Uni before, and I don't have any proper recent qualifications- but then all they ask for the diploma route is 7 a-c GCSE, and I have 10 of them. I'm technically applying late anyway, which won't really help my case. I didn't realise that you can't just apply for feb start, you have to apply for sept start and then defer.

Nori - breathe deep and Skype your sis. All will be well! You DESERVE to go to uni. It is within your reach, just get the paperwork done.

Good luck Nori, how exciting.

(((Woodsies, Allie, PM/Nanny/B)))

Just sent my lovely DH out for a chocolate run. Teething/post-jab grizzly R, threenager M, broken dishwasher (AGAIN), half-broken washing machine (it's Russian Roulette whether it will drain properly or not), too much debt and a bad back. Let today be over and put me to bed with some Dr Who and something calorie laden and covered with cheese.

Random rant- but jees I wish DH wouldn't ignore texts from me. I get that he's at the pub, with company that is probably loud and interesting, but how much effort does it take to look at your phone and reply to a sodding message? Actually, he very rarely ever replies to texts and it just does my nut.
