I've been 'in bed' for just over an hour. I've fed Ollie and been in to Snarfy FOUR times. FFS. DH is on a night shift. I bloody hate night shifts.

Kyl - is enjoying the first night in a long while of not going to bed the first time J wakes... has recently read the "night rage" thread and is feeling slightly more normal... has a sleep training plan to put in place once J is well... feeling okay about mommying and working both, but still a little ragey at the friend (who has 4) posting about her 3 1/2 month old sleeping 7 hours last night...

Permit me a tiny moment of boasting that I could never put on FB (and it's nothing to do with my child's incredible braininess )... I have been sort-of headhunted! I submitted an expression of interest to a department I really want to work in and get experience with, just offering to do some casual work - I thought maybe the odd shift to cover sick days. They got back to me yesterday, and want me to fill someone's holiday leave for a month. When I said I'd actually be in the North at Uni for most of that period, she said it didn't matter, they'd hire me anyway, and maybe for a longer time, then backfill the time I wasn't there with someone else! It's only going to be 2-3 days a week, so I need to get my boss to agree to release me for that time, which he's notoriously tight about. But tbh, I'm just chuffed to bits that they asked me

Argh. M just had a 2 hour on-off night terror. Finally he woke up and I lay down with him only to have him shriek every time I so much as twitched. Bedtime should not take 3.5 hours!!

This is after I received a phone call from a photo shoot company and I was told they were given my number by a friend of mine. When they told me his name, its someone I dislike immensely, my best friends ex. Yes we know each other but we're barely civil. He has my mobile number but shouldn't be giving it out to anyone! Not sure whether to say something to him or not.

.... Nanny saved my baby from harm when the bus nearly crashed this afternoon. She's banged up but she kept my baby safe and I am so so grateful. Trying not to play the what if game. He was on her lap and they were thrown from their seat. The buggy was overturned. If they'd been in a different seat or he'd been in the buggy... One lady had a gash on her knee.
