Campers, festi-heads, hikers, even spelunkers... all welcome here. No fresh air activity too hearty, no fold-up product too desirable.

campsite in New Forest? Urgent - for tomorrow!

I've left it rather late but we're going camping in the New Forest tomorrow with Saz and we haven't decided where to go yet. Does anyone know anywhere good that won't be booked up for half term?

Sandyballs is the most well known as it is big with lots of facilities.
Mummy to 3 scrumptious BLWers, who sometimes rebel + ask for spoonfeeding (2007, 2010, 2013). Antilop chair, slings, cloth nappies, no steam mop but awaiting permission for special handshake which probably involves porridge.

This is a good website to look through, I think you'll need to call rather than book online now though. I think you can also just turn up on the day.

Red Shoot is also supposed to be good. There's a pub right at the entrance, and a couple of others within walking distance (although 'walking distance' is always debateable in the Forest!).

Nothing special but perfectly ok for a short trip.
