Hi everyone,

looking for some tips and recipe ideas for my 6 month old son. We are taking him cycling for 1 month and want to cook meals with pans on a stove. ANy ideas about recipes you can cook? I looked at the recipe page but a lot require an overn so are ruled out. Anything simple?
Cheers

For a 6 month old I would just stick to easy things. You don't need to provide cooked food for every meal. They can always eat a bit of what you have eg side salad from your plate, vegetables, meats etc

Also-breadsticks
Bananas
Strawberries
Orange
Melon
Mango

Definitely don't cook them anything special as at 6 months its all about experimenting. Most will be thrown on the floor!
Very proud mummy to three little stars:

Nixxie's advice sounds very sensible - unless your LO has taken to BLW with great aplomb, I wouldn't worry about doing 3 meals a day, and would be trying to cook adult meals with a baby-friendly component for your LO to join in with. If you've introduced eggs, they are fantastically versatile camping food - you can put lots of different things in a omelette! Pasta is also quick and easy, and again you can mix it up with lots of different sauces.
Where are you off to? It sounds great!
