What are we missing? (clueless people going camping!)

Campers, festi-heads, hikers, even spelunkers... all welcome here. No fresh air activity too hearty, no fold-up product too desirable.

What are we missing? (clueless people going camping!)

Gulp!!

We are going to a festival in a month. Not been camping for ten years (and then we were so lame we ended up in a b & b )

Here's what we have :

Tent
Air beds
Sleeping bags
Lantern
Cool bag
Portable stove (just a single gas ring)
Plastic plates, bowls, cups etc

Is that pretty much it?

Any suggestions for stuff we are missing gratefully received.

Thank you so much!

Our mantra is: "Something to sleep on, something to sleep under" - as long as you've got those, you have the core essentials. You don't make mention of rain-related items though - wellies, umbrellas, raincoats, plastic-backed picnic rug or chairs. Or wine. Never forget the wine

I like having some folding chairs, or at least a decent picnic blanket (one with a waterproof underside).
Can opener.
Bottle opener.
Sharp knife.
Phone charger that works in the car.
First aide kit (sunscreen & bug repellent being the most important).
Three little chicks, all BLWed. Two at school and one preschooler. Not around much any more, but think of you all often.

*Something to get water with will make things easier - we use the 5l water bottles you can buy in supermarkets, but really anything to save you having to go and get some every time you need it.
*Loo roll & wet wipes. Always good for emergencies.
*Matches to light the gas stove.
*Something to cook in

Doing whatever works for us whenever I know what that is and with Green & Black's white chocolate whenever possible.

Thank you! :D

You guys are the best!

We have a good picnic rug, I need some new wellies. Loo roll - genius. Just checking out water carrier on eBay.

Wine - how could I miss that?!

Thank you, I am feeling much more prepared for this now.

Which festival are you going to?
Mummy to M - September 1998, D - October 2007, and E - May 2010. All BF, cloth nappies, and carried in the same sling, not sure BLW existed in the 90s though!

Last time we went camping I woke dh to take me to toilets in the night because I was too scared to go on my own so I think this is a great idea!

Just remember to empty it outside the tent and not leave for someone to spill the next morning - urgh. Or if someone really pisses you off you could empty it by their tent :-)
