Anyone camping this weekend?

Postby monkeydo » 30 Apr 2013, 21:06

We're itching to get out for J's first camping trip. We were hoping for 1 night over the bank holiday weekend, but just not sure about this sodding weather.

Anyone else?

Me! We are camping about 5miles from home, with the in laws and sil / partner who are travelling from further afield. Good side is if the weather is dire A and I can scamper off home for a bit!

Other bonus being when I realise what I've forgotten I haven't got far to go to fetch it if it is essential! It always takes the first trip to remember what we actually need to take!

We're camping this weekend!!
We have been for the may bank holiday 3 years running and have had one glorious one and two v cold and wet ones- here's hoping the weather is kind this year!
I'm SO pleased I've done BLW as feeding Ots will be a doddle -a friend brought her 7 month old last year and had a nightmare trying to warm purees.

Well we've booked a pitch now so there's no going back! Only going 20 mins down the road, on the monday to tuesday as we've both got tuesday off. So so excited - first trip out in our bell tent that we bought each other as a wedding present 2 years ago! Think I will miss our cosy 2 man. Or maybe not?! Pray for sunshine

Oooh monkey we have a bell tent too, I love it! I'm also more used to small backpacking tents but I do love the bell tent the best of all!

I have bell tent envy.

The forecast for this weekend looks fab by us, getting quite excited! (Apart from the mammoth task tomorrow Mormon of finding everything and packing the van!)

We're off camping at a folk festival this weekend. We did this weekend last year in freezing temperatures, frost is never a good sign outside the tent! Hopefully this year will be better. I am also dreading the packing tonight and tomorrow...

Yeay for all the camping! The weather forecast is sunny/cloudy and fairly warm.

Going to do some baking and take loads of yummy treats.

Repeat after self - it's only 1 night, do not get carried away....
