Campers, festi-heads, hikers, even spelunkers... all welcome here. No fresh air activity too hearty, no fold-up product too desirable.

Fair weather campers eh? Not much posting on here I notice, now that its cold?

Obviously we have an excuse, as we need another six months to save up and buy all the extra kit we need ...

Ha ha! We decided that we wouldn't do half term camping until the children are a bit older :D

My mum gave us her old rather large family tent but as yet have had no inclination to camp in the pouring rain/freezing cold. I have turned into the above mentioned fair weather camper! At least until the next kayaking/canoeing family weekend. So next summer then!

We stayed in a caravan on the north Wales seafront Halloween week and that was cold enough! My children wore fleace pyjamas and dressing gowns to bed and even with thick duvets they came to us frozen in the morning. Camping in the cold mustn't be very fun!

Don't mind camping in winter if it's just DH and me but wouldn't subject DD to that, also i'm finding it difficult to get comfortable in my comfy bed at the moment, i don't fancy attempting a sleeping bag!

We went to a Haven site in Somerset over half term and stayed in a caravan. Admittedly it had a fire etc but it was still jolly cold at night when the fire was off!!

Fair weather and proud of it.... Lets face it camping in the summer in the UK is a pretty brave move most of the time!

We are camping at the moment! Muncher is living running about testing his walking skills. Although we are in Oz and it was 38 yesterday!

Ooh that sounds so nice! Looking out of office window at pouring rain and gloom, while my colleagues and my damp coats gently steam in the central heating, thinking I am most definitely only a fair weather camper!

I'm a summer camper. I'd love it if that meant fair weather :)

Oh I know - it would just be nice if being a fair weather camper actually meant fair weather! Not that the memories of midnight rescues of families camped too close to the stream aren't exciting, but a few more sunny memories would be nice :D

Don't ever camp at the same time as me if you want good weather, we are jinxed! We freeze in the summer let alone winter. I have a play tent up in the conservatory, will that do?
