Anyone got a bell tent?

Postby Seriously_Nutty » 06 Jun 2012, 18:41

Just that really! My friend has one, I saw it a few years ago then again at the weekend and I LOVE it. She said it takes up quite a bit of space in the car and I'm guessing it's quite heavy but I didn't ask her about putting it up but surely with one central pole it can't be that tricky??

Anyone got one? Want one? Pros/cons? Dh thinks we need a motorhome  lmao, I think a bell tent!!

Yes, and I LOVE it! There are photos on my FB at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 726&type=3 It's a SoulPad 4000-Lite (4m diameter) and a great size for the 3 of us, but I'd definitely want a 5m if I had 3 children!

Don't have one, but want one...

I have set them up many times and its not that hard, but they are heavy, so that makes it tricky, iyswim. And packing them up again is a bit of a b!tch, but that is the same with any tent.

ah... lusting after Salj's tent again...

We'd love one. It would be especially good for my very very tall DP. If we ever come into a bit of money we would seriously consider getting one.

That is all. :)

Ditto DP (apart from the tall DH bit!) I sooooooo love the SoulPad but DH talked me out of getting one because he said it would be too easy for snakes to get in through the sides here. My SIL has one and loves it.
It's my dream tent! :D

Camper, you can get ones where the groundsheet zip in, so you can still roll the sides up, but they must be snake-proof?
