Jubilee camping.

So we got to camp on Friday at about 5.30pm, thankfully the rain had stopped. We met up with our friends, the kids played and all was lovely.
Saturday
Weather lovely, toddler very happy to be on an adventure, 4 yo AWFUL. One tantrum after the other, calling us names, final straw at 6pm when I decided it was home we went.
Slept at home.
Sunday
POURED all day, 4 yo behaved so we went back to camp to drop off bits we had thrown in the car night before. Then off to jubilee party at MIL. Back to camp at about 8pm, went to see our friends, kids in bed by 9pm. STILL POURING.
Monday. 4 yo is now 5 yo.
DP wakes up at 5am, says tent has leaked, his back is soaking. Tent hasn'teaked. 5 yo has. All over the sleeping bags and crash mat.
Get up, do presents, wait for toddler to wake up, go home with wet sleeping equipment, STILL raining so eat birthday fry up at home, go to Toy shop to spend some birthday money, back to camp. Can't stay for final night as no sleeping bags/mat. Wait for break in weather empty tent and take it down.
£110 for a 4 night camping trip which was mostly spent at home.
How was your jubilee weekend of camping?!
