Advent activities 2015

Oh look, it's broadly a place to talk about special occasions, party tips and to swap present ideas but let's be perfectly honest, this forum is here because I want to get excited about CHRIIIIIISTMAS from about June onwards.

Advent activities 2015

Postby Kitcameron » 11 Nov 2015, 08:54

This is the first year I've done this but SM is getting really into baking and crafts and stuff and we love having things to do in an afternoon when CM is in bed.

I've been through last years advent list and picked out all the things I think are do-able for us and things that SM will enjoy so here's my list so far.

1. Cutting and sticking a Christmas list from magazines
2. Making cards for grandparents with foam stickers
3. Handprint cards for friends, maybe reindeer or maybe not lol
4. Christmas colouring
5. Decorate tree
6. Make an angel
7. Salt dough decorations
8. Muppets Christmas Carol with popcorn
9. Polar Express with hot chocolate
10. Snowman film with gingerbread biscuit
11. Dance to Christmas music
12. Felt Christmas tree
13. Make mince pies (with Daddy???)
14. Go see some Christmas lights
15. Christmas Playdoh
16. Christmas tree strawberries
17. Snow globe in a jam jar
18. Paper snowflakes
19. Gingerbread reindeer
20. Handprint Christmas tree
21. Make decorations for handprint tree

What's everyone else thinking? Or am I starting this waaaay too early lol? Off to Pinterest and Google now lol. This is exciting.

Edited to say CM will be allowed to join in with several of these too.

I think you need a few easy ones.

Read a Christmas book
Make White Christmas (may be an Australian thing)
Santa photo? Or festive dress up?
Cherub - Feb 2010.
Little miss - Jan 2015
