man, i love christmas. is it just me, though, that resents anyone with a birthday between now and mid-Jan for screwing with my system?

Nope. Unfortunately that includes most of my family (including two cousins, one ON Christmas day and the other two days later). This time of year is just SO EXPENSIVE its slightly ridiculous.

Both MIL and my mum have birthdays either side of xmas, there are 2 babies coming in Jan and 2 more birthdays in Oct/Nov. It shouldn't be allowed, really.

Well done on your Google doc list Aitch. I have mine incorporated in with the birthday list to make sure people don't get the same presents twice in 1 year It has been known to happen!

Only a few birthdays here between now & end of Jan including mine (next month ) so that's allowed

A list of people to buy for & presents to give? That's what mine is anyway... I also have it colour coded to show whether it is made / bought, in progress or needs to be actioned Too much time on my hands??!!

i am loveing the google docs, basically, if you're not using them then GET with the programme. esp useful for people like me who inexplicably seem to explode computers on a monthly basis (seriously, it's like i have electricity hands or something, another netbook bit the dust yesterday) as you just leave all your docs up in cyberspace and can retrieve them wheree'r you are...

My homemade list so far is:
Caleb & Eden - monster hoodies
Caleb, Eden & dh get matching fleece pj pants (its tradition)
My mother- photo calendar
Bf - Parmesan oil, crackers, Christmas decs

It comes from having an awful memory. It is amazing how easy it is to give the same present over & over again in my family so this really helps when I update it at the start of each year I can see what happened the year before. I also have a 2010 sheet knocking around somewhere

mine is on paper! I keep meaning to put it on the computer, but with the paper one I can take it out with me when I go shopping and tick things off then and there.

And there is nothing wrong with having a birthday between now and Christmas, and I don't care if it mucks up your systems (says the person who has just spent the last ten minutes having a mini present hunt trying to work out where DH has hidden them all. I only have to wait until tomorrow...)
