And so anyway while i am here... CHRISTMAS

Oh look, it's broadly a place to talk about special occasions, party tips and to swap present ideas but let's be perfectly honest, this forum is here because I want to get excited about CHRIIIIIISTMAS from about June onwards.

And so anyway while i am here... CHRISTMAS

I've seen a Christmas 2011 section on another forum and it was nice.

Maybe a Xmas/Birthdays/Parties-and-Holidays-type section? That might be more useful year-round. And I'm sure you could come up with a clever name for it...

i totally know what you mean re random thoughts... however it does keep all the 'what are you cooking/buying/receiving/what do i wear to the office party/girls night out/family dinner/what the hell do i buy for the kid who has everything/where the hell do i put it and how the hell do i tell his grandmother to stop knitting' stuff in one place...

plus, i'll be there a lot cos i LOVE CHRISTMAS. :D

Bah. I hate October, it's when you suddenly realise you have to start thinking about Christmas because November is taken up with the family saying 'oh, we want to see you before Christmas', in other words they want to use up my Christmas shopping time giving me presents they've bought in the August sales so they don't have to pay postage. Humpf grumpf. Although Mum visiting is quite good because we always have a day at Johnny Lou Lou and spend it all in the toy department :D :D :D Better that than arguing over the price of a cashmere jumper  Bah humbug.
