Sorry you're suffering. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

As for avoiding thrush I think keeping to a low sugar diet is supposed to help, and eating live yoghurt. Sure someone else will come along with some other tips soon.

Grab some probiotic capsules at the pharmacy, they are brilliant. Just a bit pricey.

Well I got some pro biotics, but he's still got thrush :( hoping the docs will see is in the morning then I can get us both treated. Boobs are ok at the Mo, but with the tongue tie as well I am absolutely not going to wait and see what happens...

Aw poor babe. Demand that the doctors see you! Ours always did same day for Moo when he was very young. You do not need thrush as well as everything else! Hope it clears up quickly. I might have missed elsewhere but is the tongue tie needing treatment?

Thanks yp. Yep, just waiting for the 'snip' appointment to come through. It's quite a significant tie. Thankfully it isn't affecting him at all - he's gaining well and is really contented. I'm just a bit sore. I feel really lucky that he's my 2nd tho as all that feeding knowledge has helped me keep the boobs in reasonable condition... Honestly, I am going to be so happy to be healthy and pain free!

I found wiping my nipples with a solution of vinegar and water before and after every feed helped get rid of the dreaded breast thrush. Might be worth trying that as a preventative measure? Good luck, thrush is an evil thing.
