Ow my bum

Second babies? Forgotten everything about breast and formula, napping and wrapping and you are are going a bit MAD because you haven't slept in three days? Or it's your first baby and you are here researching the joys of weaning?

I haven't sat on my arse so much for months. My coccyx is not happy. Any tips?

Sidelying? Bit hot in this weather!

Do you have a bf pillow? They are great to sit on - put the gap where your coccyx is.

Oh God I remember that feeling! I found it was best to either recline on cushions, or sit cross-legged - but it was still bloody painful. Sorry.

I had this first week or two of ds , there was one really bad day. But now you mention it its gone - and I think did after first few weeks. Perhaps it all hardens up. Hope it gets better x

I found sitting on a breastfeeding cushion helped - one of the u shaped ones with the gap at the back if the chair so my coccyx was in the gap.

Yep, a u-shaped cushion is where it's at!

You can roll up a towel and then bend it into a U-shape, or a pretzel shape, or really any shape where you can rest your butt and thighs on it and leave a gap where your tailbone is.

I splurged and bought a special cushion with a little cutout for your tailbone, and I loved it.
I love my kiddos! Two April girls (2011 and 2013) and a May boy (2016). I guess we have spring babies in this family.

Oh my, I remember that - which must mean it stops fairly soon. Sitting sideways on the two seater sofa so my feet were braced against the armrest helped.

Yes, it's already much better. I built myself a nest in the corner of the sofa with a cushion folded up underneath so my tailbone was poking out, and that really helped. Now the little one is a few days older I'm finding I'm sitting upright more so it's less of a problem. Thanks for your suggestions!
