postnatal hairloss

Second babies? Forgotten everything about breast and formula, napping and wrapping and you are are going a bit MAD because you haven't slept in three days? Or it's your first baby and you are here researching the joys of weaning?

I lost loads of hair, more the second time around, it has grown back but as my hair grows really slowly that has meant stupid tufty baby hair for ages... F is now almost 3 and it's finally getting back to normal.

It is really horrible when it starts to come out in the shower, my least favorite bit if being a new mom alongside realising that my sweat smells of breastmilk... :o

Both times my hair loss has been awful from when the baby was 2 months until about 7 months, so I'm just finishing off now. With my first child, I had waist-length hair and I just couldn't handle losing such large quantities of such long hair so I chopped it off to a bob. Then I realized that my hair was now distinctly wavy and not straight like it was the last time I had a bob. Now I'm growing it out, second round of hair loss be damned. I don't even want to talk about what it looks like right now. But I sympathize.
I love my kiddos! Two April girls (2011 and 2013) and a May boy (2016). I guess we have spring babies in this family.

I have shoulder blade long hair and every day when I brush it I end up with a fist sized hair ball. I am fed up with it and will chop it to a bob just as soon as I remember to get myself an appointment without the little man!
