Foot now has Deep Freeze on it rather than deep heat. (according to the interweb, heat is not good for strains and sprains!) Still strapped and now on ibuprophen. It's fine when I'm moving around and it's encased in a shoe (and even raced Munchie across the school car park yesterday!!) but first thing this morning and when I've been sat down for a while, it's really achey again! Grrrrrr

I think I will be missing my run tomorrow. Foot rest is probably the best thing for it but also DH is away so I have no one to look after Pickle! I might take her across the field to the park and do a bit of a run along the way, see how we go! But my next C25K run is 5,8,5 and I do think I'd do more damage trying it tomorrow rather than resting until Monday.

I've also entered another virtual race! Not really a race but an accumulation of miles to be submitted during November. The aim is to reach (collectively, not personally!!) 888,246 miles to represent the poppies that were outside the Tower of London. We have 2 of them so it seemed a fitting thing to do!

Rest is definitely a good option HF - you don't want to make things worse.

I'm on te last week of my 12 week challenge and had final measurements yesterday - have lost 25.5cm over the past three months which I'm happy with. My weight is about the same as this time last eat which is a little disappointing but I'm definitely more toned and thinner. I'm pretty happy with the results - I think I could have done better but it's a good reflection of the effort (or lack of) that I put in.

I'm so tired at the moment that I need to take a bit of a break. I can easily maintain but I don't have the energy to focus on lots of training and eating right. :(

Well done emzit - being more toned and thinner is a great result for all the effort you put in. And as for your weight, it must be all that muscle you've built up

Enjoy maintaining and having a well deserved rest period.

Fantastic Emzit.

I'm not sure today was a good day for a fast day in hindsight lol. Had bloods taken just before lunch, on my own til well past bedtime and have had to make more cake for our coffee morning tomorrow. Cake in question being chocolate fridge cake, try baking without licking your fingers, spoons, etc. I did have a sneaky lick at the chocolate spoon but have some free calories anyway and don't think it'd have added much on lol.

Never mind, don't want to give in as I'm actually feeling ok ATM but whether I will be by kids bedtime or not I don't know. Got more cakes to ice tonight after they're in bed but didn't think I could do it now, although SM is playing happily outside and CM is in bed so I could try doing the cake pops quickly, or at least some of them if not all.

Right, off to ice then. See you later lovelies, keep up the good work.

I can say that I'm a healthy person in general but during the last year I felt a wish to change my life even more in some healthy ways :) I started to drink more water, stopped to eat the junk food and smoking, it was smth for me! :( Especially considering how long I was a smoker... Now i'm very proud of myself and hope not to repeat this bad habbit in the future :)
Anyway I'm not satisfied with my body, I really feel the lack of activity... :( My work is in office for the most time of the day so yeah it's a problem :?: I started a few weeks ago doing some physical exercises at home every day, I'm going to continue this during this year :) Also I'm thinking about starting going to the gym, suppose it'll be more useful for me in some ways and give me more motivation :D Besides I want to try all that different cool stuff for trainings, it's a pity but there's no space for such equipment in my house :?
And all these things will follow you (c)

I did my last fitness test today - this is the one I've really wanted to achieve at over the whole challenge. It's time based, 1.5 mile run test. Last year my final time was 12'48" so I wanted to beat that, but really wanted to be below 12'30" and really really wanted to run 12'10" after my gym buddy did it a few weeks ago (but didn't think I could).

It was bloody hard but I did it in 12'07 and I'm so so proud of myself. Next target sub 12 minutes! This mote than makes up for my slightly crappy effort on the food front, my fitness has improved even more. Really excited.

Seeing as you're now green, HF, you should probably change your moniker for a few days to HappyFootAndUnhappyFoot. Or UnhappyFeet. Or MildlyIrkedFeet.

I'm on my own and should be doing stuff like washing and loading the dishwasher but am instead watching the tennis, still in my PJs, posting on every thread I can find.

Right, I've had my spot saved since the New Year, time to join in officially. Super excited to reclaim my body after nine months of lethargy and general being the size of a barge malaise. This month my goals are to focus on Kegels and posture and to stabilize my core muscles before I get back into exercising.
