Ooh, I may set that as my target then when I get back into running again then, haven't been all week cos I think I screwed my knees up with my long run (haha long) last week. Will go back to just doing a mile when I restart again, grrr, but hopefully build back up again a bit quicker.

BMI = 25!!!! I am officially not overweight.

Having said that, I am overweight - I've got quite a small frame. 12kg lost since 1st Jan; 3kg to target. Then I'll see how I feel about losing a bit more.

Nix, I think A has hair similar to yours. Her hairdresser recommended using a clarifying shampoo once a week. Especially if her hair starts turning green :scream
I'm still here. Not losing any weight. But fairly active. And eating well.
I'm still overweight but am now a medium in running pants and a U.S. Size 8 (29"). I think this might be the way my body is going to be. At least until I give up bf.
My heels have been sore. Stupid under armor running shoes. But I have new shoes now and am no longer crippled. I think I might do a 5k race with DH next month. Um. Well. I'll run behind him. He's a foot taller than I am and can d the core test in 11mins 30s. Maybe I can train hard enough to keep up with him...

Edited to add holy crap! Ive just done my bmi and its 25.6!i knew I was close but haven't done the actual calculation for a while.

Emzit, my scales know me (as in, they work out that it's me not DH standing on them) and tell me my BMI! I'd like to kid myself that I wouldn't know otherwise... but that wouldn't be true :) 0.6 * height^2 to go!

TM, I can absolutely see that this might be the right weight for another woman of my height, even if it isn't for me. I'm watching the numbers because that's what motivates me, but really I want to have a body the right size for me.

Nix, I got a swimming cap which keeps most of my hair dry. My reason was really thick hair that takes ages to wash and dry, but it'd work for you, too. The chlorine can't dry out your hair if you don't get any chlorine in your hair.
I was coming on to boast about losing 9kg since the beginning of the year, but I've certainly been put in my place. Marron, Emzit, that's amazing! Great job to both of you.
For me, I've a new mini goal. I want to reach 10kg lost by the end of May. It's not an unreasonable goal if I apply myself. I've a friend getting married.

Losing 9kg is great EF, boast away!

I ran into a mum from the boys' childcare today, she took a minute to recognise me because of all the weight I've lost. Big confidence boost!

That's a very cool confidence boost!

I am just popping by to see how everyone is doing and the answer is AWESOMELY! Very inspirational.

I also have a proud moment to report. I did a 24 hour endurance thing at the weekend. 5 mile laps set in woodland trails and fields. Idea was to log as many as you could as a team. I ran 30 miles! So so proud of myself! It hurt at times but I kept at it. Even thinking of entering the same event as a solo next year.

Wow everyone is doing amazingly! I noticed asda have Wonder Woman pants if anyone needs a treat for good fitness! I have had a really active day - did 45 minutes in the gym, the 15 minutes breaststroke and 45 minutes Aqua Zumba. And totalled 16,000 steps on top. Absolutely frigged now! Have to control calorie intake this weekend as we are going on a child free weekend with friends to a countryside mansion and there's lots of drinking planned.

Wow! Everyone's doing so well. I'm so proud of us all.vcant believe it's may and I'm still here lol. Although not actually doing very much ATM it has to be said. Think my knees are up to running again so may ask DH if I can go out again tonight, will start small again don't worry. Found a website whe I can draw my routes and it tells me how far I've run, that way I can see how accurate Firbit is and I can plan routes in advance. Or I can just faff about planning and not actually do any exercise. Lol. My step count is going well this week though. Did 21,000 on Monday

Well done everyone. Ef 9kg is amazing, I've barely lost 1!! Was down very slightly on the scales this morning so hoping that will be incentive to keep at it. I just don't cope very well with being tired & stressed, just want to eat chocolate and crisps!

Now ds1 is at preschool my step count up 2 days a week so that's a start but must do some more exercise somewhere!

The nursery run has bumped my step count too Kanga, I just have to try and persuade myself to walk even when the weathers a bit meh. Need to find he raincover for the buggy too as now DH is back at work I will have to take CM with me whatever the weather and don't want her getting too wet lol, although I suppose she's almost big enough for SMs old splash shut now so not too disasters us if we don't find it.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday's are my lower step count days in general as I don't walk to toddler groups, although I am walking today but going to a different group which is just round the corner so not many steps lol. I should definitely make one of those days a running day, that'd probably boost me over my 8000 step goal most times.

This thread has been a bit quiet lately! How's everyone doing?

I hit the 20kg loss mark yesterday! My original goal was to hit my target by the end of the year and I'm now 900g off that, so will have managed it in around five months. Feeling pretty damn proud of myself. Two more weeks of my challenge to go so I'm being as strict as I can to hit the target by the end.

Feeling really fit as well and good and happy. And I must say thanks to you ladies for keeping me accountable as I couldn't have done it without you!

It took you five months to do that, rather than twelve. You're seven months early.
That's amazing.

From my side, I'm finding our new house to be amazing for my fitness. Instead of being in the middle of nowhere, I'm fifteen minutes' walk from the town or the beach. I'm walking, slinging and pushing a buggy most days! I met my mini-goal of 10kg lost by the end of May last week. Now, I've only about 3kg left to lose to get back to my prepregnancy weight. I'd like to do that before Newt's first birthday.
