I've lost 17lb since September and I'm going on holiday in June so would like to lose at least a stone, if not a stone and a half by then. I'm using My Fitness Pal (always open to new MFP friends if anyone else is on there) to monitor my diet and will be going to the gym three times a week (doing a mix of cardio and weights). And no alcohol in Jan. Hopefully all that will do the trick! Long-term I still need to lose around two and a half stone, but when starting out in Sep, the big picture seemed unachievable, so little steps are the way forward. And if I'm lucky enough to get (non-ectopically) pregnant, I want to be in the best physical shape I can be.
In reply to comments on the 2014 thread:
KC - the 12 diet changes seem something positive to focus on and hopefully the physical activity increase will go hand in hand. Good luck!
Handstand79 - well done! That is absolutely amazing! You must be soooo proud of yourself and thank you for letting us know - I find personal stories of achievement a real inspiration!
Kanga - I had exactly the same incentive cos I was a stone and a half heavier than my husband when starting out, but with my weight loss and his running slightly easing off, I'm currently 2lbs lighter, phew! He's running the London Marathon this year though so is restarting his training and the weight will soon drop off him. I doubt I will be able to keep up with him (weight loss wise) but his losses will keep me on track with my own!
Nix - like you say, you know you can do it. And you always seem so active on the MFP news feed - you inspire me to get up and do something cos you always seem to be on the go! Good luck

Like I said on the old thread, 2015 IS going to be my year, and I hope it is for everyone else too
