Get fit support group anyone? Jan 2011

For all ye runners, shredders, dieters and sneaky custard creamers...

i did my first shred today, didn't find it bad at all HOWEVER i wimped out of the star jumps for fear of upsetting neighbours, and instead danced around like Bez from the Happy Mondays, desperately trying to work out my calves and hammers without actually leaving the ground.

tin cans for weights, though, no wonder i'm feeling okay... i think i hardly did anything.

{{FC}} STRETCHHHHHHH lots and lots. Hope you're not crippled today. Tiger balm and hot baths help too.

Aitch you slacker, get some weights! ;) Lol at Bez dancing. I did that when my foot was injured instead of all the impact jumping.

How heavy are the weights you're using? I have 1kg wrist ones somewhere is that about right?

It's good pain though, right :D

I shredded (shrad, shrud, completed the shred) this morning. I'm always so reluctant to start up again after a break but now I've begun I refuse to stop again (or at least until the next holiday)!

I could only find 5kg weights this morning, we shall see what hurts tomorrow!

Skips- when I first read the bit about how much weight you used a few days ago I thought it was 4kg :o :!:

I was doing it with my 2kg ones and really struggling thought, bloody hell she must be superwoman, or maybe you were Madonna

Relieved to hear that it was 4lb ones, not 4kg. And apologies if indeed you are Madonna....

Ahahahahahahahahaha fothers I just snorted tea out my nose... Guffaw.

DH has persuaded me to do some weird running circuit thing on the treadmill today so not shredding. Seriously, my hips/bum/calves have only just fully recovered from that mile run.... last tuesday. I am NOT a runner.

:D Aitch and jvnt. Go go go shredders!

Well, I started this exercise thing yesterday. I've been doing this as it's focusing on mummy tummies (which I definitely have a problem with!) & pelvic floors (which is always worth working on!), and after a week of tummy exercises (but no sit ups thank god!), my tummy feels flatter already. But the first work out was yesterday. Just 20 minutes, but OMG, I have never been worked out so hard in my life ever. EVER! It felt pretty great...and apparently I have to do it again today...it will only get easier, right!

It's apt, Lin, since you rocked this place from the beginning with your running. THanks Aitch for our new home!

That system looks very cool Allie - it's gooooood pain right? ;) What kind of things do you have to do?
