Mooncup (as seen on a Veggie Nugget thread near you...)

We're all in this together, remember, so while the world is collapsing around our ears it might be nice to have a place to talk about new-found frugalities and old-fashioned eco-living. And mooncups.

Soooo... is this where I peek in if I want to make the switch over to a cup and need advice?

Brand suggestions? Mooncup and Diva cup show up first on Amazon... The Divacup is slightly cheaper so does that mean the Mooncup is slightly better?

I've only ever used the Divacup and like it just fine! I have no way to compare cups, though. But definitely make the switch!
I love my kiddos! Two April girls (2011 and 2013) and a May boy (2016). I guess we have spring babies in this family.

I was thinking about this thread the other day - every AF I remember that I was meaning to get a mooncup, and then I forget again. But I'm actually in time to get one before the next AF if I order soon...

I'm a mooncup girl myself but also not tried the other. I was stupidly excited too when I got to use it again... Soon wore off but I do feel smug about the land fill I'm not creating.and the stupid sales tax I'm not paying!

I feel smug about that too MP and quite peeved that between the ages of 11 and 30 I didn't even know menstral cups and cloth sanitary pads existed!! Feel really naive about the latter actually.

StJ, different brands have different heights/dimensions/capacities, so that might effect which is most comfortable for you, though i don't know how you'd tell ahead of time which would be best.

I'm so sad that I can't use mine any more. After having L my cervix is too long/low. Tried two different cups and neither could be worn comfortably. I'll have to see how things change after this baby and decide if I'm going to try the cups again or move to cloth pads.

I find a combo of cup and cloth pads works well. Every different kind of AF situation is covered then. Have you ordered yet, stj?

There's a good closed fb group called The Bloody Waste for advice if anyone is interested.

Still not sure.

Do it. Surely you need to follow such a sensible crowd?
