Second AF post baby (how is this fair when I am up feeding him at least 4 times in the night at the moment). Yesterday I sneezed my mooncup out. Must work on my pelvic floor exercises. Also a bit of a eureka which you've probably all worked out. When I'm emptying it out down the loo, often it takes several flushes to get rid of it all, but if you drop a bit of loo paper in first, it all goes first flush.

Mine is still leaking although I use reusable pads just in case. However, and this will be way tmi, I've noticed recently that they smell. It's only very small amounts of blood that leak out but they smell immediately. I forgot to take spares to work today and was so paranoid

Anyone know how to avoid this?

Sorry qbm, don't know about the smell, but for the leaking, I'm pretty certain mine happens when I've missed the cervix. Mine's quite low down, particularly during AF, and it can be quite easy to position the cup next to, rather than under it. I find that properly running my finger round the side/rim of cup I sometimes hit my cervix and can reposition.

In case you don't already know, the cervix feels like the tip of your nose.

I swear I've learned way way more about my body since getting a cup than I did even through having 2 babies!

Well I had a fairly good poke around after I read your advice. I think I found it! Can't say I noticed it resembling the tip of my nose but I'll double check later

The firmness of your cervix changes throughout your cycle, it can be softer at times.

I am seriously almost done with the frigging moon cup. Pre children it was amazing but since popping out enormous creatures, it really is not. I know my pelvic floor is probably to blame but I am fed up with the damn thing slipping down all the time and with often having to try two or three times to get it comfortable. It never used to be this way.

I do not want to go back to tampons but this is driving me mad.

Any suggestions from those who also used pre babies and have got it sussed still?

I use the Diva Cup and it comes in two sizes, pre-and post-baby. I bought the bigger one, and it still sits lower than pre-baby so I cut the stem off completely. That's all it took for me. Also work on your pelvic floor?

MP - could it be that your cervix is shorter than pre-kids? I didn't get on with a mooncup and thought it was my pelvic floor but my meluna shorty cup has been so much better. I've heard of people turning their mooncup inside out to make it shorter - didn't work for me but it's helped others. Worth a try?

How do you know if you have a short cervix or not? Also, anyone any advice on sizes with the Meluna? I want the ball style but I don't know if I have a short cervix or not or what the diameter of it is lol. mooncup was much easier as I obviously chose post kids size.
