Partly sewn up knitted jumper - what to do with it?

We're all in this together, remember, so while the world is collapsing around our ears it might be nice to have a place to talk about new-found frugalities and old-fashioned eco-living. And mooncups.

Partly sewn up knitted jumper - what to do with it?

Postby Where'stheMistletoe » 20 Sep 2014, 19:19

I've got a jumper i knitted years ago but never finished sewing it up and decided I don't actually like it! It's chunky knit, roll neck colour, blue and purple thick stripes. I HATE sewing up! And I've got loads of projects and nowhere near enough time so it's just never going to happen. What should I do with it? Would a charity shop take it as a "project"? Someone might want it for wool but I suspect not at a charity shop - anyone here interested in free wool that needs unknitting?!! I can't throw it away so wasteful!

Could you just sew the shoulder seams and use it for dressing up as a robber?! Not you that is :) Add a black eye mask...

I hate sewing seams too!

I like your thinking! Could work, particularly as the shoulder seams are the bits I've already sewn...
