De-stashing

We're all in this together, remember, so while the world is collapsing around our ears it might be nice to have a place to talk about new-found frugalities and old-fashioned eco-living. And mooncups.

De-stashing

Postby AB&M » 07 Mar 2013, 19:49

I only use a few slings now so I may as well reduce (& spend the money elsewhere!!)

I have:

A chocolate brown gauze wrap (great for summer last year). It's a size 6. I can't remember what I paid for it last year but make me an offer. GONE

A black strap with red velvet patterned panel onbuhimo that I bought from Pics in a sale but have only used a few times so its pretty much brand new. £40 plus postage.

My didymos Julian which was dyed red by its previous owner so it's shades of burgundy. Its a size 6 with tapered ends. I paid £40 for it but make me an offer. GONE

Morlyte gave me a fleece pouch sling which I'm happy to pass on for postage. GONE

Vatanai Igloolik size 7. I loved this & used it all summer but I just don't reach for it anymore. £60 plus postage. GONE

I might be interested in the onbuhimo - have you got a pic? Or if not, what kind of pattern is it?

I might also be interested in the onbu, depending on how much luck I have finding a buckle version and how much luck you have destashing it! I'd be interested to see a photo

Thanks for the pic - lovely but a bit too floral for me I think. All yours sully!

(Also my new mei tai is due to arrive shortly and DH might start to lose patience...)

I'm definitely very tempted. I've only tried a buckle version so far. Is it comfortable with the rings? They don't dig in too much? And I forgot to ask - is it a toddler sized one?

I'm not sure if its a proper toddler size but Kitten is only just fitting it now. I never had a problem with the rings when I tried front carries but haven't tried a back carry with it. The straps are slightly padded which you can't see from the picture & it is by Funky Slings.

Thanks. Is it possible to measure the width at the bottom and I'll check it against the one I'm currently using tomorrow and get back to you? :)
