charity shop bargins

We're all in this together, remember, so while the world is collapsing around our ears it might be nice to have a place to talk about new-found frugalities and old-fashioned eco-living. And mooncups.

Not been on here for a while as being at work has put a stop to charity shop browsing - but today I got a grobag for £1. Pretty pleased with that as we needed a spare!

I got an awesome pair of wrangler ankle biker boots. They're gorgeous, and a tenner :) we also got a three seater sofa with matching arm and rocking chair for £50 from a local fb group this week, they're in great condition, it's sooooo nice to have more Han just a small two seater sofa, we can have visitors without people having to sit on the floor!!!

I had a great haul the other day, lots of Christmas presents for Jacob sorted :D

Brand new lift-the-flap Usborne Science book for 10p!
Orchard Toys maths game (never played) 50p.
White Stuff dress (woop woop, I never get cool stuff like this!) £3.99 (they also had a BNWT Yumi dress, label said £45, for £3.99, but I didn't like it. Damn shame!)
Bfeeding-appropriate wrap front top with nice autumnal print 99p
Random Christmas children's books - 10p each.
Finders Keypers ladybird toy - 50p. I had one of these as a child and was ecstatic to find one. I nearly cried ;)

They also had a vintage 70's Fisher Price dollshouse complete with odd Three Bears figures inside, for £7. I couldn't bring myself to shell out that much, though I'm sure it was worth it. I'm still half regretting it, but we have a dollshouse and don't need another one. But oh...

OMG at all your bargains. I wish our local shops were that cheap. Most clothes are over £2 and most books are at least 50p. Dresses for me would be more like £7.

I wish we had some cheaper ones nearby...

Well done!

I got a black blazer/jacket for £3.99 the other day! It's velvety which isn't my first choice but it's in pristine condition and exactly what I needed!

Got the Orchard Toys Dinosaur Discovery puzzle for £2 today. We've done half tonight and I checked it does have all the pieces :D Made me feel slightly guilty though as I really can't remember the last time I did a puzzle with D.

Why does everyone seem to have good charity shops except me.? We have the traditional old smelly ones.with nothing in them.
