Here we go!

Cloth nappies, disposies, potty training... the inevitable result of BLW. What goes in, must come out.

Here we go!

For the last few nights ds has been doing a wee on the potty before bed & over the weekend has been able to produce some on demand, even first thing when he'd just done one in his nappy!

So I've decided to take the plunge today & put him in pants. To start with he was asking to sit on the potty every couple of minutes, then after a while he came up & told me he needed a wee. He did then have an accident sitting on the sofa. A mixture of me having asked but not pushed him to sit on potty so it had been a while plus he was absorbed in doing something. Possibly a useful thing as he knows what we're trying to avoid now. Since then he's asked to do 2 more so I'm super impressed with him!!

He did a poo before his nappy was off this morning but then did do another tiny one on the potty so hopefully he'll get the hang of poos ok too. He's starting preschool in 4 weeks so perfect timing!

Yay. Great start.

Day 4 and we haven't had a wet accident in over 24 hours. In fact he woke up with a dry pull up this morning & asked to go on the potty. Yesterday morning he asked for his nappy off too which I was very impressed with as I assumed he'd just go in the nappy if it was there.

He's asking me almost all the time too, rather than me reminding him so I am very proud of him. Not caught a poo yet but wry aware its early days.

Such a different experience to training dd!!
