9 months and loose poos

Cloth nappies, disposies, potty training... the inevitable result of BLW. What goes in, must come out.

9 months and loose poos

Postby jmelfe » 18 Feb 2015, 20:57

We started solids at 6 months and my daughter started eating a couple weeks in. I was so impressed. She's been a great eater and has been eating a TON of food lately. For the past 4 days she's been having major blow outs though! Very soft, chunks of undigested food and very sweet smelling (like when she was ebf). I'm confused. Before, her poops were solid and fairly regular. Should I be concerned? She did catch a very short lived stomach bug just before this started (only threw up 4-5 times within an hour and been fine since). She's acting completely normal, sleeping but not eating much real food, just bm. Is it time to call the dr? Thanks!

My 8 month old is like this atm too. So fed up of changing clothes as well as nappies. She's been sick several times too and had a fever over the weekend. She seems fine in herself though so I'm not too worried and haven't thought about Dr tbh. How does she seem in herself?

Do you think she could be teething? My LO didn't get his first tooth till he was a fair bit older, but it certainly always resulted in looser poos, together with more desire for milk rather than solids. Breast milk is a natural laxative so if she drinks more then that'll be the inevitable outcome!
