Uber healthy flapjacks - for Cofa's Tree

Post them up and every so often I'll snaffle them and put them on the blog, if that's okay? It'll save you the trouble of emailing them to me. (It will mean you lose out on our charming personal interaction but I sense you can live with that.)

Uber healthy flapjacks - for Cofa's Tree

Not sure if I've posted this before but here goes:

150g oats
60g melted butter
2-3 bananas

then a mix of whatever you have to hand that fits vaguely in to the category of:

120g (ish) of dried fruit
80g (ish) seeds

Mix oats, berries and seeds, pour in butter. Mash bananas on a plate. Add and combine.

Cook on 180 for 20-25 mins.

I have been doing 120g of raisins (with a handful of goji berries) because I'm too lazy to replace our dried fruit selection and a mix of sunflower and pumpkin seeds with a liberal dose of chia seeds whacked in for good measure.

The kids love them and haven't even asked what's in them. They're just flapjacks and everyone knows flapjacks are amazing, right?

Perfect, thank you! Love the sound of these...I have all the ingredients ready and waiting to make them, including two very over-ripe looking bananas on the kitchen table - ├╝ber healthy indeed :D

Now, can I fit in making them tomorrow morning before we head off to the Isle of Wight...?

Do they taste very bananary. I like bananas as bananas but not in things so fine if you can't really taste it lol.

I was feeling like such a smug supermum. Spotted this recipe this morning, miraculously had all ingredients in the house, decided to weigh them out while Sproglet was napping so we could just get on with it. Managed to spill oats all over the floor and now the child and woken up and announced she doesn't want to bake. Argh!

Made these today and they're lovely. You didn't give portion sizes MP so I've taken that to mean we need to eat them all in one sitting :)

Glad they're proving popular, they are here too. I love seeing my picky kids gobbling them down, I rarely get one over on them but the seeds in here make me laugh behind my hand!

Finally got to making them today - D mashed the banana for me but then went off to watch CBeebies. I added a few rice crispier to bulk it out as didn't quite have the full quantities and they are fab! Thank you.
