Baked Oatmeal

Post them up and every so often I'll snaffle them and put them on the blog, if that's okay? It'll save you the trouble of emailing them to me. (It will mean you lose out on our charming personal interaction but I sense you can live with that.)

Not a big hit here. Little croc spat it out in horror and demanded porridge. The puppy was more willing to give it a go since I called it cake. He was game, had a few bites, declared it delicious and then changed his mind.

Yesterday when the kids got hold of the 'cake' tin and snaffled a piece each I did a faux 'don't eat the cake before supper' routine at them whilst thinking, 'go on, eat the uber healthy cake, I don't care, supper is pasta so you'll eat that too'. They danced around the kroom together thinking they were being super naughty and cute but still didn't actually eat any.

MrC said it's interesting. I quite like it but I don't eat much cake so I suspect the birds might get the remains.

Probably going to show up twice as I used the full kroom word. Sorry mods.

Sorry, EF.

Ah, sorry to hear that, mp. I hope you didn't put too much effort into it.

Okay, so a bit of a mixed response, then. That's great!
I just wanted to add a note regarding the tahini. Yorkshirepudding, the brand of tahini I buy is made by Meridian. According to their website, they are British, so you may be able to find it somewhere near you. I get the dark tahini, as it's the most natural and full of goodness.

I use a recipe that calls for apple sauce and just grate an extra apple. or pear. pear is superb, imo.

Thanks! Sure I've seen Meridian, probably even bought it, I just buy it so infrequently that I can't ever remember what I had last time so it's all a bit hit and miss and then a waste of money. Will try that next time.
