Savory Flapjacks

Post them up and every so often I'll snaffle them and put them on the blog, if that's okay? It'll save you the trouble of emailing them to me. (It will mean you lose out on our charming personal interaction but I sense you can live with that.)

Not sure about oats either..

I made my first batch for DS2 last week. Dont know why I stopped making them. DS2 enjoys them - I quite like them for my lunch too!

This is a tasty and useful recipe. It has a good balance between carbs, protein and veg.

I have made a tasty version with half Wenselydale and mature Cheddar. I left out the eggs as a friend with an egg intolerant child is coming round and added some extra virgin olive oil to add moistness and flavour and the flapjacks seem to have come out OK. May try an eggy version another time to see which is better.

Hi there

Is there anything I can use to substitute the egg? My lo has an egg allergy.

Many thanks

Oh I had seen this in the recipe book and then promptly forgot about it!

Doing a baking session next week, will have to try them.

I imagine grated butternut squash would work well, or celeriac... ooo or even a safer route to feed a small baby beetroot!
