Christmas Craft Swap Chat

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

Christmas Craft Swap Chat

I'm sitting here sleuthing my swapee and she's not giving much away on the boards!!! So I'm hoping that, by inviting anyone to peek at my Pinterest profile, she may do the same, so I can stalk here there instead- get a good idea of what she may appreciate!!!!

So this is me.... https://www.pinterest.com/sally1681/

Ooh what a good idea HF! I don't have a Pinterest profile - sorry swapper, whoever you are. But I'm quite pleased with how my idea fits in with my swappee's professed tastes.

I got lots done in a burst of efficiency, then felt so pleased that I've now totally slacked off. Need to finish off the main element and then work out how the hell to pack and ship it without totally destroying it en route.

I'm not on Pinterest either - sorry!

But I'm going to gloat slightly and say: finished! Was helped by being ill last week, so sedentary crafty activity was just the ticket. It's not a grand thing, but I'm fairly pleased with how it's come out - small but perfectly formed, as it were.

I'm on Pinterest (name as on FB doc) but now I have a blue light elimination app on my phone, I'm staying up wayyyy too late on it. Case in point, it is now 3:56am. Yes, that's right, AM! There is no helping me, I'm a fool to myself... :-/

Yes, you are.

Now...where can I get myself one of those blue light elimination apps ...? ;-)

I'm primarily doing my craftswap on the bus. I'm not sure I have enough more bus journeys though!

It's an app on my phone (called Lux Lite) which adjusts screen brightness according to ambient light - my phone was like a fricking lighthouse even on the lowest brightness setting, and on the 'night' setting, it removes, or at least reduces, the 'blue' light spectrum, which is supposed to send the wrong messages to our brain at nighttime (and gives me eye strain at night). Or something. So it means that I can pin away to my heart's content :-)

Mine is done but now I'm having a wobble because it doesn't seem enough. I know that insecurity is not allowed, but still feel like I need to add something more.
