Is there really no thread for this yet? It IS the 18th right?? I guess it is holiday season...

Well, ive just finished a hobby horse for Pumpkin. I'm embarrassed to say I started it in about January :? and its also very crude-looking and i dont know how long it will last (what can i say, im a novice who's trying!) so im too embarrassed to show you a picture of the actual thing. But here is the link i used to make it from instead :D

Ooh, I looked for this thread a couple of weeks ago when I'd finished making my seat covers (finally!!). I forgot all about it when I couldn't find one. I'll post pics on the Flickr group.
I've also made matching roman blinds for the kitchen but am waiting for DH to cut and hang some baton for me to attach them.

I made a hat for DS last week to replace the one he lost - my mum had knitted a lovely striped one. :( It's an odd style, but it was easy, turned out okay and he likes it. Here's the pattern: http://www.coatsandclark.com/NR/rdonlyres/08B0149D-FE06-4A5A-8E70-0F6D559F67E4/87748/WM0305.pdf

Oooooh I've saved that pattern. Looks lovely!

I have made a few things... I have knitted a couple of tiny milos for a friend's newborn although I forgot to take any pictures. I also made some very basic nappies for Froglet's doll out of scrap felt and a sea creature playmat which sounds way better than it is! Her cousins gave her a pack of plastic sea creatures to play with and she hasn't shown much interest in them. I got a large leftover piece of blue fabric and used 3D paint pens to draw on jellyfish, fish, a seahorse, a shipwreck, a treasure chest, some seaweed and some starfish on it. It's a bit crude and could have been beautiful if I'd used applique or embroidery but... £D paint pens meant it was done in an hour!! :)

Oh and I properly finished Kat's silver birch dress. I actually finished it aaaaaages ago but just hadn't sewn in the ends or added the buttons.

I'm now half way through Kat's beastie feet - they're nearly finished but I haven't looked at them for ages.

The sea creature playmat sounds great (as do the other things!) S would looove that. I may steal the idea for christmas....

I was a model mother yesterday and made S a captain barnacles hat and belt at his request instead of housework :) Makes up for all the other afternoons I ignore him ;) Quite pleased with them. The belt needs a pocket apparently, and the octo-compass has been changed already.
Pics up.

Whilst the kids rampaged through the house & dinner cooked I quickly coloured in a template on a t-shirt with fabric pens. I was supposed to embroider the picture & it was going to be a present for someone but I have up waiting!!

I think I will add it to the present stash & give as a Christmas present to BFF's DD.

Sounds like a good day AB&M

I have made 8 super hero capes this month and still have two to do. Have also made a change mat and a matching fabric bag to keep the mat and wipes in. Managed to sew my finger in the process though. :)

Ouch Weasley!

I finally finished my window seats!! I used a couple of Ikea trofast units on their side as a base (which also act as bookshelves) with the middle seat bridging the two units. Need to decide what to do with the middle section - I could store cushions, make a box for more storage or leave it as it is so Squirmy can continue to be a troll while the Chooby goes trip trapping over the top :-)

I also finished one of Kat's patterns this month as a gift for Sully's new baby - it was the cable yoke cardigan. A lovely pattern that was straight forward enough to be my take-along project when going out but it did use more yarn than stated (only barely) so had to use a different colour on the edging. Still working on my third one for another belly dweller.

Managed to rustle up a doorstop with left over fabric from my seat covers! Pic in BLW Flickr album. I used this tute - very easy, but the corners were fiddly!

Well I have made some progress with my lampshade but I'm not really interested in it so I took a wee break last night and made a newborn hat.

It looks slightly too big though (what I mean is 'someone with a head that fits that hat shouldn't exit my body')! :D Will make a newborn Kat hat too just to be sure. Will upload a pic when my house internet starts working!

I very quickly turned out the little sausage dog from this month's Molly Makes. A has bagged it & I've given Bruno a choice of all the kits for him next. He's chosen the fish.

It's nice that they fight over my awful hand sewing!
