Anyone made Kat's Beastie Feet?

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

Anyone made Kat's Beastie Feet?

Postby qbm » 08 Aug 2013, 14:39

I think I might be being a bit thick here but I'm confused by an instruction in this pattern...

I've made the soles and the heel of one but what does it mean when it says after the final heel row (Tie or sew the elastic in a loop. You will work around the elastic for this last round).

It's the 'in a loop' bit that's confusing me...

TIA!

Haven't made those, but have done other shoes from the book. It just means tie the ends together so you have a circle of elastic iyswim.

yes, this. Its so they stay on, otherwise crochet (and knit) slippers fall off and annoy the crap out of me.

Is there a sheepish emoticon? I've just read ahead and seen that I'll be working round the elastic that remains uncovered. It totally makes sense now. I did do a quick skim of the pattern before posting but must have missed it.

Sorry Kat - I've seen how ridiculously busy you are on other threads so thanks for taking the time to reply! The elastic is a great idea btw - I'd given up crocheting booties/slippers for Froglet.
