Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

Completed Projects July

I've made Elsie a shirred sundress tonight. I've never done shirring before, but after a few false starts it was pretty straightforward. I'm just hoping it fits, as I measured the straps against another dress as she was in bed.

I uploaded a pinafore dress for my pals wee one. Its actually the second I've done recently but I didn't get a good pic of the first.

Apart from that I've been working on project:curtain - This new house is chilly and all the curtains are thin and unlined so I'm going to try insulate every window Eeek! Two down, 15 odd to go. I bought 25meters of thermal blackout lining, not sure it'll be enough.

It's so cold here right now (16C in the day, 7C at night) that I had to buy MJ a hot water bottle. Which meant I had to make him a.... Ninjago hot water bottle cover! He looked so cute all cwtched up to his Ninja in bed last night :D Photos on the Flickr pool soon.

Straps aren't quiute right on the dress, I'll need to adjust them when I get home from work.

Have finally finished a patchwork cot bumper for Ducky. It's really hard to take pictures of though. Might have wait until I put the cot up. 'twas my first go at patchwork and considering I never bother measure or plan anything  it came out alright. :D

And that, my friends, is one of the reasons I was forced to leave the UK - my total inability to cope with temperatures below 20C!
