Biscuit decorating advice pls

I wasnt sure whether to put this on the cakecraft thread or not, they're biscuits not cake so I didn't!
I want to make and decorate camel biscuits like this http://www.spicelines.com/L1130672leadcamelphoto%3A450wide.jpg but I've never iced a biscuit before! Maybe I'm being a bit ambitious? Lol
I've looked on YouTube for 'flooding' and other decorating techniques, but I just would like to know what size icing tips to buy to make those fine line patterns.

And on the subject of icing tips, I know professionals use wilton tips, but they're expensive. Where can I get decent cheaper alternatives from?

Also, what sort of tool do you think they used to draw the indented patterns? I'd really like to replicate that.

The patterns look like embossing to me. I use embossing mats that are designed for paper (from hobby craft) to put patterns into fondant. I've also used other surfaces which can be dishwasher sterilised or are food safe to emboss a pattern.
Size 1 and 2 tips will work for the detail. I buy my tips from the local cake decoration shop or the range.

The embossing looks like fondant. The fine detail looks like a size two. Any tips intended for writing would work.

WSS. You're going to pass a plate around the forum so we can taste-test, right?

Heck yeah! :D
Especially for Weasley as I still haven't given her anything for a stretchy wrap she gave me over two years ago   :? can I still blame baby brain do you think?

Anyway, thanks I will try to find some decorating tips somewhere, no shops near me, only supermarkets.
I thought the embossing might have been done on half-dry royal icing? And then left to set. Or would that not work?

Ok I just looked up embossing so the royal icing wouldn't work then!

Can't imagine fondant on a biscuit?

If you get Tesco or Asda own fondant, it tastes so much nicer than the regalice stuff and rolls really thin. It would work well on the biscuits, colours well and embosses well too.
Don't worry about the wrap, it was alsways meant to be a long term loan and I'm happy for it to be be a mega long term loan with the possibility of it being passed on to someone else after you. :)
