Crochet hook recommendations

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

Crochet hook recommendations

So, I just snapped my 2mm crochet hook. It's been over-used recently and was getting quite Uri Geller bendy. And then... Snap. It was a fairly standard aluminium one. Any recommendations for something a bit more hardy? I don't really want to spend too much on it. I don't need a set, as I have a set of aluminium ones and I think for the bigger sizes they are ok for me. What about grips? Should I get one with a grip? Thanks.

I really like the Clover soft touch hooks, especially for the smaller sizes. They have a grip, and I find them really comfortable.

Gah! Just putting stuff away and found another the right size in my case! Doh. Oh well, the grip sounds like a good idea anyway!

This. They're lovely, and I'm much faster with them. And my fingers don't hurt so much.

Cherry, I'm faster with them too - I think it's because they stay in one position in my hand rather than rolling, I think, anyway! My tension is much more even too.
