ISO Butterfly tute

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

If I describe what I want to do can someone please tell me how of work out what search I need to do to find a tute??

I am going to get a big blank canvas & paint it. Then I was to make some 3D butterflies to stick all over it in pretty pastel patterned paper....

Do you want all the butterflies the same size, and how big do you want them to be?
You can buy paper punches for this sort of thing, and I'm pretty sure I've seen people selling packs of cut outs of butterflies on etsy for this sot of project.

Yep use either paper punches or ready cut shapes, then prob something like silicone glue to glue to the canvas, I would fold the butterflies in half then stick into the silicone.

Well I already have lots of pretty paper so don't want to buy pre-cut. I can either cut myself or use something that will punch through my paper.

I got some photograph glue in my crafty box this month. Would that work?

I was thinking about the wings sticking out so not sure beads would work....

Decent quality PVA would do fine. If you're cutting them out use a scalpel.

I'm sure I saw something like this in a magazine recently - my mum gave me a whole stash of Your Home and Prima (for the crafty stuff). When I get a second today I'll have a look, I could always scan and email if I find it.

You're welcome, I'm really tempted to try the second one myself! I'm adding it to my long list of craft to-dos...
