Summer swap chat...

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

Can I check something on the rules? Would it be acceptable to spend a bit more on something that is only available in bigger amounts, given that I'll only use a bit of it for this project and the rest will go in my stash? So I'm not really spending over £5 on this project alone, iyswim? Or is that cheating?

Whilst I should technically be making stuff for the school fair I might try getting mine started tonight.

Sourced some of the supplies I'm using for mine this week, from Normandy no less! I have plans for most of it, just hmming and haing over how final section will work. Really chuffed, even if DH did think I was a bit mad sourcing craft swap supplies on holiday! I've fallen in love with my ideas, enough that I've sourced enough to make them for my family too! One section involves upcycling things which we have far too many of cluttering up our house so is win win!

And if those aren't cryptic clues I don't know what is!

Me too! Done all the boring prep stuff in a fit of efficiency last night, so today the fun part can begin. Baby and DH being uncooperative though - one is hugely overtired and post-MMR grouchy, the other has buggered off on a jolly for the day, so there may not be much opportunity for crafting now till after bedtime.

ETA I also found the perfect box to pack it up in when it's done - just need to come up with a pretty, no-cost way to upcycle it. That's my cryptic clue for today!
