Magazine - Ruby Loves

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

Magazine - Ruby Loves

I picked up a general crafting mag today. It's aimed at children although lots of lovely ideas etc. no adverts (maybe 1 or 2 but not heaps!). Lots of free supplies with it.

Bruno & I did 1 thing quickly.

As I'm such a novice sewer it's actually at my level I think!!

Oh it was £4.99 but first issue so may go up.

Gah, just looked at the website and I've been a bit put off tbh!

Ruby Loves
http://www.rubyloves.com/Ruby Loves is an art & crafts magazine for girls. Ruby Loves Magazine comes with materials for 6 step by step projects! Grab a copy of Ruby Loves now!

For girls. Bah. Three issues for £1 on the website though, so may be tempted just for cheap craft stuff!

It wasn't obviously "for girls" when we picked it up - it was with all the other sewing mags & looked so different it spoke to me!

Did you get it? I finished off the pegs that Bruno started today. I have now started on the little flower / rosettes but the bag is cheap & nasty so won't bother using that. I've other offcuts to add to the fabric given. It's either safety pin & badge time or string them up as a garland somehow....

I did hair clips with this months felt flowers for E, and then I think I'll save the others and make some more for A. The door hanger was perfectly timed with our changing sleeping arrangements, she picked all the papers for their sign for their joint room, the bloody bird on a branch decoupage was evil even with a craftknife and cutting mat no way a preteen arm with scissors could have done that. If I remember to buy butter will bake the cookies we have a load of smarties in the cupboard from easter to decorate them.

All this crafting snowballs & I end up buying yet more stuff currently hopping between the forum and ebay looking at hair clip blanks

I've lost my flowers for the hair clips :(

Oh well I can do button clips instead. Have turned out all my boxes & can't find them anywhere!

Ona plus note I did do the ring with some seed beads from my crafty box. Have bunged it in the summer fair box of tricks to sell!
