Does anyone know how i can work out how much cake mix i need to fill my number 2 tin, the recipe that came with it says 3 egg mix- but it dont think that'll be enough.

I can't remember but it was a lot more than that when I did numbers.

An 8 egg mix (16oz of sugar, marg, flour to 8 eggs) does an 8" cake (in two rounds) of a decent height. Maybe try that and if it isn't deep enough, bake another and sandwich? a 3 egg mix isn't even going to do a decent victoria sponge. Mind you, it does depend on the size of your numbers. The number one I used for my nephew was quite large.

i did a practice run, with a 6 egg mix, but it didnt come out well, im guessing that i need to grease the silicone.

Do you all hate cake now? I started a little business a few months ago making macarons, but I hate them now. Not just the taste, but everything about them. Does this meaning should just quit???
