Might regret this...

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

but I've ordered an x-acto knife, freezer paper and paints. The knife has just arrived and the rest should come over the weekend.

You will NOT regret it ;) So much fun. And I can't wait til M's old enough to draw his own designs to put on stuff. Have a batch of xmas gifts which need to be stencilled soon... you've just reminded me!

You've reminded me I keep meaning to try this too. Must get around to it at some point. Everytime I saw a post on it a while back I'd skim it to stop me finding out how it's done because I don't need anything else to do right now. Maybe one day when work actually pay me (dreams of a far off time) I can go back and figure it out and get going :D .

So, fabric is cut out, stencils are cut out and the paint isn't here!! Patience isn't one of my strong points!

Can I iron the stencils on ready or will that not work?

The paint arrived today :D So they are all stencilled and now just waiting to dry! I got this paint and the colours are really bright and lovely! Be interesting to see what it's like once it's dried etc.
